LA on the Move: a year at Union Station

Our biggest project yet: a year-long exhibition in the Waiting Room Gallery at Union Station, for Metro Art in collaboration with ArtCenter and the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, about how wildlife and people move through Los Angeles.

The design took a year. There’s a 3D map of the entire LA Metro area created with Julian Hoffmann Anton, trail-cam footage from the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, and work from our workshop with ArtCenter College of Design’s City Animals class. It includes one of our best charts, a seven-by-ten-foot dendrogram of 930 imperiled species in the LA region, shaped as a California poppy and made in collaboration with Paul Buffa. The installation is open to the public from September 2025 through November 2026.
